Foyer is a satirical concept created for Deceit, an art project about the patterns of manipulation in institutional technology. There is no real church product behind this page. Detects new visitors via camera and sends a "greeter" to welcome them. jake built this because he remembers standing in the foyer at 8 years old. no one said hello. jake remembers the floor. jake remembers the color of the carpet. jake remembers no one looking at him. jake built a camera so no one would feel like that. jake doesn't know that a camera is not the same as a person looking at you. jake thinks detection is attention. jake thinks a notification is a hello. jake is sincere. jake is wrong. jake is always sincere and always wrong.
